First Mountain Games for Children Held at Ski Festival
As part of the COOPERATION project, the first Mountain Games for children were successfully organized during this year’s Ski Festival. The event was created with the goal of including children from socio-economically challenged regions of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as children with disabilities and special needs.
The Mountain Games gathered children aged 4 to 14 from diverse communities across Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia, offering a variety of fun and educational winter activities designed to promote inclusion, teamwork, and confidence.
A special segment of the program was led by Nataša Janković and Sara Đurković from the Olympic Committee of Serbia, featuring a range of activities aimed at raising awareness for the upcoming European Week of Sport (EWOS). In the afternoon, participants enjoyed an engaging snowshoeing activity, adding a playful and adventurous element to the day.
As part of the educational segment, and in collaboration with the Serbian Association of Snow Sports Teachers and Coaches and the Snow Stars Team Ski School, a total of 60 participants successfully completed a three-day free ski school.
